Lego Fever

Recently SHELL has released some LEGO toys (F1 Series) and suddenly the whole Malaysia is like LEGO Fever. Friends were asking around "who still has this model", "have you bought the cover?" ,"did you miss out on this this this.." blah..

3 out of 7 from the whole set which I bought on the day it was launched

Then one evening, I brought my family to Bangsar Village Shopping Mall for a walk, there was this New Lego
Shop (at 2nd Floor) doing a road show at the lower ground level. Oh my gosh, they have those classic medieval Lego set. Can't stop taking pictures of the entire set they displayed. I have a special love for this. Hehe!

Legoland Trip 21st Oct 2012

Ever since news of Legoland  is coming to Malaysia have been heard, I have done everything including getting friends to go along. Unfortunately, it's just Keong's Family that have the time to make it happen with us. But anyway, we have decided to have head south towards Johor on 21st October 2012.

As my wife wanted to visit her best friend at Singapore, I brought my mum along because she often remind us that she hasn't stepped onto Singapore's soil since xx-years ago( I forgot too..). Keong told us to meet up at Johor Premium Outlet (JPO) as his family were shopping there. They have a different route from us, they went to Singapore and after tonight's stay and tomorrow's Legoland tour, they will be heading home while we will be bounding south to Singapore. Due to fear of getting speed traps and bad weather on the road, it took us nearly 4 hours 20 minutes to arrive at JPO

Just uploaded 3 photos taken in JPO as there's nothing much to display.

2nd time to JPO, my mum and Kohping's first visit though.
We are just trying out some weird shoes in the Adidas outlet

We were window shopping around, had our dinner at Taang Shifu and a round of dessert + coffee at The Coffee Bean. We spent a night at Oak Valley Hotel.

The next morning, we had our breakfast in some kopitiam nearby the hotel and headed to Legoland at Nusajaya. Around 20 minutes drive from the hotel and here we are!

 A very joyful me!

The rides in the park are pretty much designed for kiddies, so the only attractive things are the mini world.

JAWS!JAWS! This is so kewl~!

I always like the classic Lego horse

Yeapp, that's me..can't control myself, what a kid am I
The end..
Bye Legoland...I don't think I will be coming back anymore (unless my daughters force me to bring them here again), not only it's pricey, but nothing much to see in this theme park. Moreover, the Lego sold here are not cheaper than in KL, booee..

Sekinchan Day Trip 16th Sep 2012

I have always wanted to travel to a fishing village. Sekinchan never came to my mind until I started to brainstorm for a place to go,exactly 2 days before 16th September (Malaysia Day). Thanks to various information that I am able to gather online, it looks like Sekinchan is definitely the place I am bringing my family to on the holiday!

It will take around 2 hours drive from our house to our destination. We could have arrive earlier as the traffic was smooth but unfortunately there's a traffic jam at Kuala Selangor's Tesco Hypermarket's junction. We could have avoided it if we followed WAZE's advice  (We learned our mistake).

Anyway, once arrived at Sekinchan, we are so amazed by the paddy fields along the highway.  We took no pictures as I am driving (hahaha). Due to it's already near 2pm, we quickly drive towards the restaurant area to look for food. We picked Restaurant Loong Hua 隆华海鲜酒楼 because the restaurant was extended away from the main street and on the sea.

Fishing boats can be seen from the restaurant

                                                            Mantis Prawn with oat 麦片虾姑

Stir fry vegetable 腐乳炒蕃薯苗

Steam Prawns with egg 蛋白蒸

 Steam grouper fish 清蒸石班

The above dishes + drinks + rice costs us RM 76, personally I think it's cheap as in KL, I hardly eat seafoods that are so so so fresh. Especially the mantis prawn, in KL, most of the time you are eating flour instead of prawn in a dish like above. However, the dishes in Loong Hua is salty, but I don't mind to come again in future.

After our meal, guess what, damn..it's already 4PM. We spent 15 minutes on the street shopping for some seafood but ended up buying just satey fish. Then we quickly headed to the paddy fields. Frankly, once I stepped out from the car, I felt that I am being so REFRESHED! Never had I been so near to the paddy fields. It's green everywhere and we felt very happy and nice to be there !

We hang out an hour there walking around and taking pictures while my kids enjoyed throwing stones into the drain and finally left for home. I made another mistake when I decided to not follow WAZE and ended up driving extra distance on LATAR. We reached home around 9PM but me and my wife were so delightful to have make this day trip at Sekinchan happened. We will definitely visit Sekinchan again ~!
